Following the tragic disaster that led to the light transport [REDACTED] being written off as a total financial loss, the wreck was purchased by Heavy Retractable Dynamics (HRD) Corporation, refitted, and recommissioned as the Chortlin' Murphy. HRD assigned a crew of expendability commensurate with the condition of the Chortlin' Murphy for a shakedown cruise.

MISSION GOAL: Reestablish contact with missing medium container hauler Xeno's Booty and secure the completely legal, regulatorily compliant waste material the hauler was transporting.

After one week of j-drive travel, the crew arrives in the Thorium-57 system, last know point of contact from Xeno's Booty.

Remote and visual sensing locates Xeno's Booty intact but unresponsive to communications.

Coming within docking range, the crew sees an anomalous light moving over the outside of Xeno's Booty. The Chortlin' Murphy tethers to Xeno's Booty, and Duke and Menno space walk to the surface of the hauler.

They spot the source of the moving light — someone in a personal exoskeleton opening one of the shipping containers. Duke and Menno reach the container as the stranger emerges from it with a large green drum (labelled "PR37Z") clutched in the pincers of the exoskeleton. The stranger turns and flees as quickly as the exoskeleton allows as soon as they spot Duke and Menno.
